scumdrug definetely one of my favourite bm projects lately, love the synth elements. makes you remember how amazing, but terrifying, space really is :) Favorite track: Floating.

Jordan Vauvert La pochette d'Isolate révèle déjà beaucoup de ce que l'on peut attendre d'un groupe comme Mesarthim : l'espace est ce lieu du spectacle dans lequel le moindre phénomène prend des proportions infinies. Les deux personnes en charge du groupe emploient pas mal de codes du black metal atmosphérique, notamment avec ce chant éloigné et saturé, mais se forge son identité propre avec ces longues phases instrumentales aériennes. Un décollage réussi ! Favorite track: Abyss.

Anders Kvistr After first listening to Darkspace and then discovering Mesarthim, I've also discovered that the world of cosmic black metal does not have to be dark and devoid of life. It can also be full of colours, shapes and truly energizing vibrations. Amazing album! Favorite track: Osteopenia.

Spin-offs were made of this project for a reason. Very few metal musicians are able to put a sound to something that is distinctly Eastern Orthodox. And it should be worth noting that despite how long it's been since this band was stolen, the version that's been touring North America is the stolen Batushka, not the original. porcelainheart-
